Poxcare Coolmousse

Poxcare Coolmousse

Poxcare Coolmousse is for children with chickenpox. Poxcare relieves the itching, promotes healing and prevents scarring.

Chickenpox is caused by the varicella-zoster virus (HHV-3). The virus spreads via tiny droplets of saliva and mucous or via direct contact. Once a person has been in contact with the virus. it takes about 2 weeks before symptoms appear. Chickenpox typically produces a mild fever and is characterized by an Itchy outbreak of skin blisters, which often get infected with bacteria. Scratching these areas can spread the infection and can lead to scarring.

The blisters often first appear as red spots on the stomach and chest, and then spread over the entire body. The blisters dry out and form into scabs in 4-5 days. The symptoms show up in waves. While the first symptoms begin to crust, new symptoms might appear. It takes 10-14 days from outbreak and until all blisters, spots and scabs disappear.

Chickenpox is highly contagious from one day prior a rash appears and until all the blisters and spots have dried up. If the scabs are scratched or become infected with bacteria, scarring may develop.
