Nilocin Wart & Verruca Treatment Gel

Nilocin Wart Gel is indicated for the treatment of warts and verrucas found on the feet, hands, body, arms and legs. The product can be used by adults and children from 4 years old.

 

 

Wart and Verruca

Warts and verruca are local growths in the skin caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). They may be found alone or in clusters. There exist different types of warts, most commonly found on hands, feet, elbows and knees. Warts are contagious and spread by contact of the virus with skin.

 

 

Nilocin

Nilocin Wart Treatment is a CE marked Medical Device for topical administration directly on warts. The pack comprises a glass bottle with 4 ml treatment gel (enough to treat 10 warts) and an instruction leaflet. The gel contains a keratolytic compound which breaks down tissue locally and thereby eliminates warts.

 

 

Warnings & Precautions

For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. The product contains a corrosive agent.

 

• Do NOT use Nilocin for genital warts or in the facial area.
• Do not use Nilocin if you are known to be hypersensitive or allergic to the ingredients.
• When applying, avoid contact with healthy skin surrounding the wart. If the gel makes contact with healthy skin, rinse the area with soap and plenty of water.
• Do not expose the treated area to sunlight until the skin has returned to normal.
• Avoid contact with i.e. jewelry, furniture or clothes, as the gel contains a corrosive agent.
• Do not apply Nilocin to sore or bleeding warts, irritated, inflamed, blistered or damaged skin. Pause until the skin has recovered.
• Do not use on warts with hairs, birthmarks, dark moles, pigmented skin or in case you have doubts if the skin condition is a wart.
• Nilocin is not suitable for use if you have diabetes or poor blod circulation.
• It is better to apply too little gel if in doubt. Over application can result in side effects such as wounds, blisters, inflammation, tissue death (necrosis), scars, and chemical

   burns.
• Consult your doctor if the treated area becomes red and painful or gets inflamed.
• Single patient - multiple use.
• Do not use in combination with other wart removal therapies.
• Do not peel of the scab as It needs to fall of by Itself.
• Do not use for children under 4 years of age unless directed by doctor.
• If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a skin disease, it is recomm-ended to consult your doctor prior to use.


SHOULD THE PRODUCT ACCIDENTALLY COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE EYES OR MUCOSAL MEMBRANES, RINSE WITH PLENTY OF WATER FOR
15 MINUTES AND SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE.

 

 

How to use Nilocin

1. Remove the cap: Push down and turn the cap counterclockwise. 

2. Apply one gel drop to the wart with the applicator twice a day for 4 days. Larger warts might need more than 1 drop to cover the entire wart. For children with small warts, treatment schedule is reduced to one application a day.
3. Recap the bottle firmly after use
4. Let the gel dry for 10-15 minutes
5. Repeat treatment for 4 days. If the wart has not disappeared completely, repeat the treatment after a 4 days break. This treatment schedule can be repeated up to 4 times. Make sure to cover the whole wart and take care not to touch or spill onto surrounding skin.

 


Should any discomfort or pain occur, stop application. If it burns, sting, or if gel is applied to healthy skin. rinse with soap and cold water. Do not exceed the number of recommended applications.

 

 

Possible side effects


It is important to use the product as instructed. Do not over apply as this can cause skin damage! (please see A PRECAUTIONS above). A mild tingling or burning sensation can in some cases be felt for 10-15 minutes. If gel Is over applied side effects can occur. Pause treatment until the skin has fully recovered.

Nilocin Wart & Verruca Gel is indicated for the treatment of warts and verrucas.

 

Ingredients: Trichloroacetic Acid, Aqua, Glycerin, Cellulose, Cellulose Gum, Benzoic Acid, Sodium Benzoatet.

 

Content: 4 ml. sufficient to treat minimum 10 warts.

 

Nilocin is classified and registered as a Medical Device Class Ila.

 

Store at 2-25 degree celsius in the original packaging, out of direct sunlight and out of reach and sight of children. Not to be used after the expiry date.
