Herpecilin Patch 

Herpecilin Patch is for treatment of cold sores (Herpes Simplex).

 

 

Cold Sores 

Cold sores occur on the lips and in the mouth, and are caused by the Herpes Simplex virus. The condition usually starts with a tingly, itchy feeling. After a few days, blisters form, then burst, leaving a sore and causing pain and discomfort. Cold sores can be triggered by varius factors such as stress, sun exposure, low immunity level or menstrual periods.

 

 

Herpecilin Cold Sore Patches 

The package contains eighteen ultra-thin patches which treat cold sores while you sleep. The Patch absorbs secretions, fluids and puss from cold sores, while relieving pain and reducing the tingly, itchy, burning sensation. Rapid healing occurs, and redness, scarring and blistering are reduced. The Patch also protects the sore and reduces the risk of infection.

 

 

Warning

For external use only. Do not use the Herpecilin Patch if you are hypersensitive to hydrocolloid. Do not cut into the Patch and do not re-use. Handle the product with care and in accordance with these instructions. If in doubt about wether your condition is due to cold sores, consult your doctor before treatment is intiated. May be used by pregnant and breats-feeding women after consultation with your doctor.

 

 

How to use Herpecilin Patch

The Herpecilin Patch can be used in all stages of the outbreak, and is particularly effective when applied as early as possible during the treatment. Wash your hands before and after positioning the Herpecilin Patch. Just before use, remove the Patch from the foil packaging, remove the protective paper and apply the patch to the sore. Avoid touching the adhesive side of the Patch.

 

Apply the Patch in the evening, and after a period of between 6-8 hours, the Patch's colour will change from clear to white. the white-coloured Patch will begin to loosen and can be removed in the morning.

 

A new Patch can be applied in the evening and treatment continues until the sore heals.

 

Herpecilin Gel is recommended for treatment during the day.

 

 

Side effects

There are no known side effects with the use of Herpecilin.

Content: 18 patches in foil packaging.

 

Herpecilin Patch is classified and registered as a Medical Device Class I, according to 93/42/EEC regarding medical devices.

 

Store at 2-30 degree celsius in the original packaging, out of direct sunlight and out of reach and sight of children. The Herpecilin product can be disposed of with normal household waste.
